New York has the Avengers Tower, Gotham still is... Gotham, and there's hundreds of thousands of missing people across the world. Replacing them, though? Two years after the end of World War 2, The Justice Society of America was founded. In October of the same year, The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense struck a deal with the Justice Society. A portion of the team members would join the Bureau in their own branch for a large sum of money– enough to retire within the decade if they needed to. This branch was called Justice Society Dark, and became the first time superheroes were seen successfully working within a government-sanctioned agency– the start of a new era.

In the same year, mutants in New York faced more violent prejudice than in any other part of the world. To defend their people, a group of mutants began “The Institute for The Gifted” in Manhattan, a program that both housed scared mutants and taught them how to better understand their “gifts” as the Professor put it. The success of the Institute started the first mutant team, The X-Men, which despite the controversy showed that mutants weren’t just victims– but saviors of mankind.

Now the year is 2030, society has been shown an age of superheroes like they’ve never seen before. Villains are getting more powerful by the decade, there may be a day where they triumph over their foes…but only time will tell.
