Magneto rules a newly liberated Genosha as Head of State, human nations simmer with political resentment, and a new cold war brews beneath every diplomatic action.
While global governments grapple for control, Emma Frost saw an opportunity to build something that would outlast the collapse of empires. In the midst of the Mutant-Human War, the Hellfire Academy was founded to shape the next generation of mutantkind that would stand at the center of power once the dust cleared. While Genosha forged soldiers, the Academy forged leaders. The Hellfire Club worked from the shadows to recruit the next generation of excellence through heirs, prodigies, powerhouses, and political investments to define a new world dominated by mutant supremacy

Originally formed by la Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine, and trained as a highly skilled secret operations Task Force, the group has grown steadily over the years, and has recently emerged from the shadows after being the sole saviors of an event known as the New York Blackout.
But not everyone is happy about this new development. Many members of the public still need to be convinced that the Thunderbolts are anything more than soldiers and murderers. And even some members of the team question Valentina's decision for them to embrace the limelight they've been thrust into.
Pick a character, and join in with this odd group, who are, seemingly, still learning what it means to be a team, or maybe even something like a family.
