Welcome to the Thunderbolts! A (formerly) clandestine paramilitary superhero force who do the tough jobs everyone else is either too afraid to do, or too worried about messing up.

Originally formed by la Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine, and trained as a highly skilled secret operations Task Force, the group has grown steadily over the years, and has recently emerged from the shadows after being the sole saviors of an event known as the New York Blackout.

But not everyone is happy about this new development. Many members of the public still need to be convinced that the Thunderbolts are anything more than soldiers and murderers. And even some members of the team question Valentina's decision for them to embrace the limelight they've been thrust into.
