The Continental is a Discord writing server inspired by the John Wick series of films, show, and comics. We accept canon characters from the series as well as OC characters who wish to explore the JW universe.

Some knowledge of the world is encouraged but not required. Be aware that you may come across spoiler content for the series. Due to the mature nature of the series, we are only accepting writers who are 18 and older and characters who are 21 and older. We are only accepting human characters.

Those are the words we were told when we were first assigned to be a part of the foundation. Even all these years later, we continue to speak its truth like a mantra. Site-100 has experienced a few mishaps, although any site has growing pains to overcome, especially being so new. Located within the Sierra Nevada mountains, tucked away from most civilians, besides those found in the town of Pit nearby, we continue to do our work under the guise of a mining company.

As time goes on, there are those who would question us. Believe that we are unfit for the job of handling the anomalous world or that the anomalous world is somehow ready to interact with humanity. Two years after the end of World War 2, The Justice Society of America was founded. In October of the same year, The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense struck a deal with the Justice Society. A portion of the team members would join the Bureau in their own branch for a large sum of money– enough to retire within the decade if they needed to. This branch was called Justice Society Dark, and became the first time superheroes were seen successfully working within a government-sanctioned agency– the start of a new era.

In the same year, mutants in New York faced more violent prejudice than in any other part of the world. To defend their people, a group of mutants began “The Institute for The Gifted” in Manhattan, a program that both housed scared mutants and taught them how to better understand their “gifts” as the Professor put it. The success of the Institute started the first mutant team, The X-Men, which despite the controversy showed that mutants weren’t just victims– but saviors of mankind.

Now the year is 2030, society has been shown an age of superheroes like they’ve never seen before. Villains are getting more powerful by the decade, there may be a day where they triumph over their foes…but only time will tell.
