For centuries, Vortannis Prime has endured the unrelenting tides of heresy, xenos incursions, and rebellion. Entire generations have known nothing but the thunder of artillery and the screams of the dying. Yet still, the planet stands. Not through hope, but through discipline, faith, and unwavering loyalty to the God-Emperor of Mankind.

From this war, the 719th Cadian Regiment stands as the first and last line of defense. With barely any reinforcements coming, they stand as the unbreakable line, the Emperor’s shield against the darkness. They do not falter. They do not retreat.

As they have been holding this planet for centuries, many men and women of the imperium of this world have been raised on the frontlines, knowing only war. They cannot fail; failure means the heretics and xenos scum will push deeper into the Imperium. And failure is not an option.

For in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

In 2023, Task Force 141 faces its greatest challenge yet. Following the death of General Shepherd and the exposure of Shadow Company's betrayal, Captain Price and his team are thrust into a new crisis. The remnants of the Ultranationalists, led by the cunning Makarov, are on the rise, threatening global stability with a series of coordinated terrorist attacks.

As Makarov's influence spreads, Task Force 141 must track him across multiple continents, uncovering his connections to various criminal and terrorist organizations. The stakes are higher than ever, with Makarov orchestrating devastating assaults on major cities, aiming to ignite a global conflict.

Task Force 141, joined by new allies and old friends, must thwart Makarov's plans while dealing with internal conflicts and the fallout from previous missions. The journey takes them from the streets of New York to the deserts of the Middle East, and into the heart of Russia, culminating in a final showdown to stop Makarov and restore peace.
