What is Gotham? Everybody you asked would have a different answer to that question, a different view formed by their life in this dark, rainy city. There are those who'd love to see it burn, reduced to ash under their fingertips, to see the people run the flee, cry and beg.

There are those who want to save the city, who put their lives on the line to keep it safe, to throw the scum behind bars and stop the cycle of abuse the city falls into...

And there's those who just wanna go to work, man. Your ordinary civilian, who really needs to get to the office... the boss won't take "Red Hood and Black Mask dueling it out in the intersection" as a valid reason to be late.

Where you lie, is entirely dependent upon you. The city is your oyster.

In the year 2034 a virus was released into the earth as a gas and killed many people. Innocent bystanders, heroes, and villains alike. Now in the year of 2052, a retired Dick Grayson must recruit a new batch of heroes and train them to discover who creates the virus and why? However, with all the heroes and villains of old becoming undead soldiers following someone’s master plan the new heroes face a challenging battle. Some have to battle their family members while others have to battle the role models they looked up to. But with a new young team of heroes there is bound to be heartbreak, drama, and teenage angst. Will the new team be able to discover who they are? Find love and friendship amongst eachother? Attend collage and get a job? All the while trying to save the world, find a cure, and defeat whoever had created the virus? Are the new heroes capable of filling the shoes left by the old heroes? Or will they too succumb to the virus that had now mutated into something worse?

The virus isn’t the only challenge the superhero’s must face. Deep in the depths of space an ancient foe has awoken and is destroying everything in its path. It’s mission? To destroy Earth and all of mankind.

__Gotham City__

Since its foundation, Gotham has been a city of crime and debauchery. Mob Bosses, Criminal Gangs, and Corrupt Officials had bred the town to its future of an urban hellscape jungle since its foundation by English Settlers. In the 21st century it is no different. The crime families that control the city are still at play, but aging fast. The 2010s saw them playing at power by murdering the Waynes', but even with that Maroni and Falcone's powers are clearly diminishing.
And it seems luck has begun to run out for them. A recent uptick in vigilantee behavior, with people dedicating themselves to the practice, has taken hold. A shadow in the dark has been seen stalking the city and its criminals, a blue clad man with batons will beat any criminal into submission, and even in the public light people are taking on injustice. Lawyers prosecuting the Mob, new detectives with bright new outlooks, and rich men funding anti criminal campaigns. Gotham's luck seems to be changing.
But only so much of the darkness can be seen on the surface, an plenty more lurks underneath...
