2005, Salisbury, Maryland.
It started with a blinding flash- Then a tremor, that grew into a quake- The stillness of the night was broken by a deafening blast, then before silence could settle over the city, blaring sirens, commanding shouts, and panicked screams echoed through the streets.
The fabric of reality itself seemed to be bursting at the seams, fractures in natural law growing wider by the minute- Some say, they felt weightless, for a few moments after the flash, but otherwise were left unharmed. Some fainted, with no apparent cause or reason- Yet, most could recall the very same dream- A glimpse of a world beyond the veil, incomprehensible and incomparable to anything else.
But the mass hallucination was to end up as the least of their worries...
Within two years of the Salisbury incident, almost the entire Delmarva Peninsula had been isolated, due to the perils propagating within. Those that evacuated- They were not to return. Those that did not wish to leave, or weren't given a chance to do so- They would stay within the PEZ, with no hope of escape, forever changed...

Yet, to this day, it's unclear, what exactly happened- The secrecy surrounding the gradual expansion of the PEZ, the incoherent eyewitness accounts of unnatural events, of a foreign world, just beyond the walls- Awe-inspiring, and terrifying at the same time.
