Fredrick Eckert's Academy of the Reborn was built for the safety of incarnations, the magic users of Earth. It was built to teach them how to control their magic and for them to understand the incarnations that came before them.

In this world, magic cannot be destroyed. Once it's within you it attaches to your very soul, and when you die it takes your soul with it. From there magic is reincarnated into the next person, although the souls attached to it won't always influence the reincarnation. And yet, society still often judges people for the actions of the incarnations that came before them.

Being an incarnation comes with expectations, comes with restricting roles like 'heroes' and 'villains'. It leaves no room for shades of grey or for an incarnation to live life like any other person. The academy strives to change that, and progress is already being made but not as quickly as many would hope.

The school was made to be a safe place, a place those expectations won't reach. However, even the academy can't protect everyone. Students have disappeared over the years, most never being found again. And now, more students are disappearing than ever before. Someone is targeting the school, and it may be up to both the students and the staff to find out who.
