Following the end of Cybertron, the survivors fled the planet in the face of its destruction and took to the stars, the Autobots led by Optimus Prime in the search to discover a new world they could call home — while the Decepticons continued to pledge their loyalty to Megatron and his cause in conquering and spreading destruction as they went — and those who chose to remain neutral were left to their own devices. However, before either faction could pursue their intended goals, a battle between the two in the reaches of space had gone haywire and they all were forced into a cryogenically induced stasis on their respective ships.

Millions of years have passed since then and both The Ark and the Nemesis crash-landed on Earth in recent years, although their sudden arrival has been covered up as two slightly larger meteorites, a falsehood that the masses seem to wholeheartedly believe. Humanity has made minimal contact with the Cybertronians now residing on Earth, except for the government / military operatives who now work alongside the Autobots after a mutual agreement — and the civilians who have been swept up in the middle of the ongoing conflicts between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

Things have been calm as of late, but something is definitely brewing on the horizon . . .

The Beheading has reshaped the Great War as we know it. In a single strike, the Decepticons have decimated the Autobots, leaving few alive. But the dying Alpha Trion, writer of the Covenant of Primus and mentor to the missing Optimus Prime, driven by desperation, decided to do something that was thought to be blasphemy among the Primes: Giving an organic being the mantle of Prime. After much searching, Trion found his candidate: a college graduate by the name of William "Willis" Percival. Once the Matrix was bestowed upon him, stuff started to get out of hand. As Willis was transformed into the new and final hope of the Autobots in their battle against evil, Ignis Prime, heroes must rise to protect their worlds.

Can Ignis Prime reunite a shattered faction of Autobots and turn the tide against Megatron's legions? Or will he fail, and damn the Autobots to extinction?
