Nuclear weapons never augured well for the continued maintenance of society.
After Ford's second term in 1976, his mental health began to deteriorate, leading to the bombardment of Cuba in 1977, retaliating for Cuba's support in the Angolan Civil War. This, paired with Cuba's rapid ascension into the Warsaw Pact, led to the outbreak of World War Three.
With Stanislav Petrov declaring that the early-launch warning satellites were correct, this is the final, fatal deviation from our own universe. After six years of bloody fighting, the world was plunged into nuclear war in six hours.
Now, 30% of the population and 90% of the existing economy lies evaporated. It will be up to each nation to reclaim what they see fit, and to rebuild the global society.

A nation-roleplay server meant to be a more casual, laid-back reception, with common-sense and fair-play rules still maintaining the server's integrity.
RP mechanics are practically absent, so the server relies on the skill of the players (or an optional dice roll) to determine things. This means you won't have to read an Exodus worth of rules and regulations to play on our server; useful, huh?
The player is able to worldbuild their nation as they see fit, with each nation getting their own channel to store things, such as population and military statistics, various domestic actions, and whatever else you please!
We are also experimenting with allowing different species, so long as they're humanoid. A fantasy-esque aspect, if you will.
So, if you would like a more relaxed experience as to what other servers offer, come right in! Our premise will change after every reset, leading to a new, fresher experience every time!

Welcome to Breaking the Cycle.
A now up-and-running server with me as your server owner and newly educated mapper
We aim to cultivate a safe non-toxic environment for those wishing to participate in a fun and driven Nation RP.
With a fully customized map and a voting system for critical decisions, we hope to develop an engaged and eager member base and do away with the sketchy or straight-up corrupt decision-making of typical national RPs. To break the vicious cycle of toxicity and bullshit that has driven many skilled and talented Roleplayers out of the genre.
After pulling back and remodeling and restructuring we are beginning in the early WW1 era of history that will progress through WW2 taking a bold and interesting approach to blending magic and Technology.
What we offer
π₯ a fully clear and honest process of decision-making that calls upon you, yes you the member to vote on major decisions to make sure that what you want is what you get to choose. This is all kept clean by forbidding the admins and staff from any form of campaigning to influence the decision-making process of the members and to cut down on corruption.
π¦ a fully designed and operational fantasy world map to break up the monotony of being forced by lackluster servers to RP IRL nations. You can be anything your imagination desires. A nation of elves? Sure! A hive of intelligent insects? Absolutely. This world is a sandbox and we wish to see what many of you can come up with.

With full accountability being not only expected but required from all staff and members, no one can simply break the rules and get away scot-free.
