Goldtongue\\\'s Ridge is a world atop a giant toad, around nine times the size of Earth. It is a sci-fi fantasy setting, using certain homebrew to bring that feeling into 5e. The toad, as you may have guessed, is named Goldtongue. Along his back, life has taken root, as his master, King Keugelfish, travels across the multiverse via the Astral Sea, looking to bring new adventurers onto the Ridge. The Ridge is a hotspot for trade, and adventuring jobs, with people going out of their way to place bounties or other such missions on the bounty board, given how effective those within Goldtongue\\\'s Ridge are at handling requests.
Jobs have begun to slow down, as of late, due to most adventurers reaching retirement age. Now, will you be the one to revitalize the Ridge, or do you simply wish to live out your days here? The choice is up to you.
This is an extremely new westmarch project that has two human members at the time of writing this. I have been working on this since October, and would love you to join! I want to foster a friendly community for newbies to 5e and veterans alike!

Join the Play-By-Post server Distant Lands! We offer several things here and we are currently a small growing dnd community, we are very avrae intensive if you don\\\'t want to use avrae or can\\\'t this is not the server for you. We only accept Gsheets and DnD Beyond Sheets. Dicecloud is not allowed, If you do not want to fill out either this is not the server for you. In this server we also are using a fusion of one D&D playtest content and our content, so there will be several revisions to existing class features, subclasses, and spells. I ask you to respect our opinion and assist us in this playtesting effort. All the material we use is not final and is subject to change based on how things go during play, but we hope you can still have fun within this community.

Have you ever noticed how many people have heard about d&d and think it sounds cool and really want to get into it but have no idea where to start?
I was in the same boat, and when I finally got to learning it, I wanted to make a community where d&d is made simple so people can learn how to play and can build up their confidence without feeling judged by long-time players! But I was held back for a long time because of the lack of content to share, being a mere student, not having the funding to fuel something like that.
The server is my holy grail and response to dndbeyond making it abysmally hard for people to enjoy d&d without spending a lot of money, and/or having someone to manage and cater to sharing the content with the members.
It\'s a place for chaos and adventures anew, as we bring in people to experience the chaotic nature of our server here, full of homebrew. We allow a wide variety of homebrew content to be enabled and played with, as balancing is only fun to a degree, and are we really playing d&d if there isn\'t a bit of chaos involved.
It may be assumed that the server might not be for beginners, due to the extensively homebrew infused nature but I and other members are more than willing to accommodate new members and bring them into both, the lovely world of d&d as well as homebrew.
We offer 70+ handpicked new subclasses to play with, all the available feats, spells, races and backgrounds from the official sourcebooks, as well as homebrew content with more to come! The idea is to steadily add more and more homebrew, to continually increase the chaos.
Campaigns can be arranged, but the focus of the server is a westmarch pbp campaign, The Heart of the Riven, situated and brought together in the center of the now shattered galaxy and planes. Endless possibilities lay ahead of us, come join a few!
