In 1998, a 10.5 earthquake destroyed Los Angeles, with the Pacific Ocean inundating 35% of the city. Approximately 65,000 were killed in the disaster. During this disaster a couple cities would be left unharmed by the Pacific Ocean however they would become islands cut off from the rest of L.A by the ocean. One such city would be the New Chinatown area of Los Angeles. The events following would end up reshaping the city to what it is today. In the year 2003 seeing the events in which would see California secede from the United States, the Heiwa Society would take the opportunity to further tighten their grip on New Chinatown by declaring they would also secede from the United States and California. The new autonomous city state would be called Little Asia.
In the mid-2060s, Little Asia faced a severe economic downturn due to a combination of factors, primarily stemming from a scarcity of land resources and poor management. The city, already densely populated, struggled to accommodate its growing population and expanding industries. Inefficient urban planning, corruption, and lack of foresight in resource management exacerbated the crisis. As the economy declined, disparities among the districts intensified. The scarcity of resources intensified competition among different cultures for limited opportunities, leading to heightened tensions and cultural clashes. The once-harmonious coexistence in Little Asia gave way to prejudices and hostilities as various communities blamed each other for the economic woes causing a volatile gang infested environment.
This server is a brand new, small, work in progress roleplay community based in the Cyberpunk universe.
