Earth has a veil around it. A purple, ethereal, god-given veil. Beyond that veil, however, another reality stirs. That very veil that held hell and the mortal realm separate tore in two because of the dread burning in hearts all around the Earth. What are the consequences, one might ask? Hell. Literally.

Demons, hiding in that very reality kept separate by the veil, broke into the mortal atmosphere like a flood of gnashing teeth and salivating mouths. Humans picked off the street one by one, media cover ups by the government to keep it hidden, and riots about being left in the dark being silence or desecrated by those very demonic spirits they were wanting to know about. Each part of the world was doused in chaos and the flesh of those who go outside, civilians left unaware and unbelieving of the claws ripping apart people the street over. No one could stop the invasion.

That was until The Network for Offensive Containment of Terrestrial Incidents and Species, or NOCTIS for short. An American, Russian, and Chinese government collaboration that turned into a self-sustaining entity in 2028. What do they do? Make human-demon soldiers to fend off those invading scum.

Seems simple enough, until you weigh in the fact that NOCTIS isn't too friendly with those very human-demon soldiers, or hybrids, they've been churning out.
