Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a project I've been working on, born from the idea that everyone needs a place to speak freely without being judged.
I created a Discord server called Confession Corner. It's a simple, judgment-free space for anyone who needs to talk about mental health, share something heavy, or just get a thought out of their head.
To make sure it stays safe and truly anonymous, I built a custom bot with a few key features:
- You can use `/confess` to post something anonymously. No one will know it's you. Or use `/void`, to make a post that deletes itself after 24 hours.
- If you make a post, you can use `/reply` to anonymously reply to comments in your own thread.
- To keep trolls and spam out, there's a quick home-brew captcha verification when you join.
- Machine Learning is currently being implemented to automate the filtering of bogus posts. This is in BETA.
That's it. It's not a replacement for professional help, but I hope it can be a supportive spot for peer-to-peer connection. If you're looking for a quiet place to share, I'd be happy to have you.
